UKSF Infrastructure Scheme projects: grants awarded in round 4 of the scheme

The following organisations have been awarded grants through the Infrastructure Scheme round 4 to:
- build and improve existing recreational sea fishing infrastructure
- bring social and economic benefits to coastal communities
1. 聽Shoreham Port
Location: Shoreham, England
Award amount: 拢24,018.84
1.1 听厂耻尘尘补谤测
Defra has awarded over 拢24,000 to Shoreham Port. This will fund the construction of an access path that will connect a car park to the Western Harbour Arm, a popular location for recreational fishing.
The project will:
- increase access for the public, providing disabled users a safe route to the harbour arms
- promote the sport of recreational fishing by increasing the volume of people able to access the harbour arms
2. 聽Southport Boat Angling Club
Location: Southport, England
Award amount: 拢29,998.92
2.1 听厂耻尘尘补谤测
Defra has awarded just under 拢30,000 to the Southport Boat Angling Club as part of a project to build their own club house and storage facility.聽The construction will provide:
- tractor storage
- a workshop area
- a training room
- a kitchenette
- toilet and changing facilities
The project will:
- contribute to the regeneration programme for the Ainsdale Shore area
- promote the sport and offer benefits for the community by providing a purpose-built space that can host open events and facilitate training
3. 聽Wigtown Bay Coastal Rowing Club
Location: Isle of Whithorn, Scotland
Award amount: 拢100,000

Defra has awarded 拢100,000 to Wigtown Bay Coastal Rowing Club to build a boatshed. The boatshed will enable leisure anglers to maintain and repair craft, as well as provide access to showers, toilets, and changing facilities. The space will also be used to carry out boat building and store sub aqua and coastal rowing kit.
This project will:
- contribute to boosting coastal tourism by providing a space for the community to engage with recreational angling
- increase the number of participants of the sport through the construction of new facilities, including improved access for disabled users
