Details
The OESEA was prepared to assess the implications of further rounds of offshore wind farm leasing in the UK Renewable Energy Zone and the territorial waters of England and Wales; further seaward rounds of oil and gas licensing in UK waters; and future licensing for the underground storage of combustible gas in depleted and other offshore oil and/or gas fields in UK waters.
This SEA is intended to:

Consider the environmental implications of a draft plan/programme for licensing for offshore oil and gas, including gas storage, and leasing for offshore wind. This includes consideration of the implications of alternatives to the plan/programme and the potential spatial interactions with other users of the sea.

Inform the UK Government鈥檚 decisions on the draft plan/programme

Provide routes for public and stakeholder participation in the process
