The UK has developed a vibrant low carbon sector with world-class capabilities.This includes large multinational companies as well as small and medium-sized businesses with capabilities ranging from urban design and high-end engineering to specialised components, software and services. The UK Low Carbon Capabilities report, produced by the Carbon Trust and assessing the low carbon requirements of Chongqing, Guangdong and Hubei, describes the capabilities of UK industry and includes examples of technologies and services for which the UK has leading expertise: green buildings, transport, clean energy, waste management, energy and low carbon services.
