A further Government response to the Constitutional Affairs Committee鈥檚 (the Justice Committee鈥檚 predecessor) fifth report, HC 306, session 2006-07 (ISBN 9780215035462), dealing with a number of specific points in the report. An initial response published as HC 242, session 2007-08 (ISBN 9780215513588) but the main response is included in the White Paper 鈥楾he governance of Britain: constitutional renewal鈥� (Cm. 7342, ISBN 9780101734226) which also responded to 鈥楢 consultation on the role of the Attorney General鈥� (Cm. 7192, July 2007, ISBN 9780101719223).
This Command Paper was laid before Parliament by a Government Minister by Command of Her Majesty. Command Papers are considered by the Government to be of interest to Parliament but are not required to be presented by legislation.
