In this report, the Social Security Advisory Committee (SSAC) calls on the government to examine the balance in social security coverage 鈥� both in terms of entitlement and contributions 鈥� between self-employed and employed workers. The report also looks at the incentives for so-called 鈥榝alse self-employment鈥� and considers how current Universal Credit regulations may affect the self-employed.
