Review of adult participation in learning across the life course. It explores:

• the importance of learning during adulthood
• the shared characteristics of adults who choose to participate in learning
• the factors and attitudes that effect an adult鈥檚 willingness to learn
• how to maximise adults鈥� participation in learning

It was commissioned as part of the Foresight Future of skills and lifelong learning project.
