This summary report presents the findings of the third wave of science and innovation audits. The SIA process produced valuable and informative evidence that will contribute to the future economic direction of these areas.

The SIAs are a BEIS-sponsored initiative but the reports and recommendations are those of the Consortia.

In 2017, the third wave of consortia from around the UK were selected to undertake their SIAs and their reports are as follows:

  • Northern Powerhouse in Health Research
  • The South Wales Crucible
  • Upstream Space
