Details
The Civil Contingencies Act was enacted in 2004, with its accompanying Regulations and Guidance, following in 2005. At the time an undertaking was given that the legislation would be reviewed after a three year period to ensure it was still relevant and fit for purpose. The Civil Contingencies Act Enhancement Programme (CCAEP) began that review in 2008, and completed in March 2012 with the revision to the final chapters of Emergency Preparedness guidance.
As part of the review process, all proposed changes were subject to one of a number of public consultation exercises. The Government Responses to those consultation exercises are listed.
