Privacy notice for RISC-V qualitative research

This notice sets out how we will process your personal data, and your rights. It is made under Articles 13 and/or 14 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).ÌýÌý

1. Your dataÌý

Whilst much of the data collected for this research is business in nature, some of this data may be personal information.ÌýÌýÌý

The personal data relates to the following categories which will be collected from you directly or via publicly available information. This includes:ÌýÌý

  • Contact details (name, name of organisation, email address, phone number)ÌýÌýÌý
  • Job titleÌýÌýÌý
  • Individual/organisation regional locationÌý

2. ±Ê³Ü°ù±è´Ç²õ±ðÌý

The purpose for which we are processing your personal data is to enable us to carry out our functions consulting on behalf of a government department. This includes:   �

  • analysis of responses to qualitative interviewsÌý

Anonymised reporting of trends/answers may be created and shared. This will not link back to you or any answers you submit. �

The legal basis for processing your personal data under Article 6 of the UK GDPR ¾±²õ: â¶Ä¯Ì�

Article 6 (1) (e) Public task: Processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the data controller.ÌýÌý

The legal basis for sharing of personal data for the purposes of recontacting under Article 6 of the UK GDPR ¾±²õ:Ìý

Article 6 (1) (a) Consent: the individual has given clear consent for us to process their personal data for a specific purpose.

4. ¸é±ð³¦¾±±è¾±±ð²Ô³Ù²õÌý

Your personal data will be collected and processed by our contracted providers Briscoe Advisory Ltd and their sub-processors Dropbox.ÌýÌýÌýÌý   Ì�

As your personal data will be stored on our IT infrastructure it will also be shared with our data processors Microsoft and Amazon Web Services, and with the data controller, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).Ìý

5. ¸é±ð³Ù±ð²Ô³Ù¾±´Ç²ÔÌýÌý

Your personal data will be retained for 2 years in accordance with the DSIT retention schedule.ÌýÌýÌýÌý

6. International transfersÌý

Your personal data will be processed by DSIT in the UK.ÌýÌý

Dropbox may be used to transfer data by Briscoe Advisory Ltd who process in the United States of America. Where this is the case your data will be safeguarded under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework

7. Your rightsÌý

You have the right to request information about how your personal data are processed, and to request a copy of that personal data.ÌýÌý

You have the right to request that any inaccuracies in your personal data are rectified without delay.ÌýÌý

You have the right to request that any incomplete personal data are completed, including by means of a supplementary statement.ÌýÌý

You have the right to request that your personal data are erased if there is no longer a justification for them to be processed.ÌýÌý

You have the right in certain circumstances (for example, where accuracy is contested) to request that the processing of your personal data is restricted.ÌýÌý

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data where it is processed for direct marketing purposes.Ìý

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.Ìý

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the sharing of your personal data.
