鈥嬧�婽he government鈥檚 remediation enforcement strategy aims to make sure that unsafe buildings are identified and progress to remediation as quickly as possible.聽
鈥婽o deliver this strategy, local authorities and fire and rescue authorities (regulators) need access to resources and expertise to pursue appropriate enforcement action.聽 聽
鈥婽he government believes there is a gap in support for regulators who wish to use their legal powers to pursue landlords who are failing to remediate, and those who are responsible for funding that remediation.聽 聽
Therefore, we are offering this new funding to help address this gap.
鈥婽his funding is available as 2 options. The options are assessed and applied for separately.聽
鈥婳ption 1 is 拢5,000 to procure independent advice from third-party professionals to assess whether a legal case can be brought.聽 聽
鈥婳ption 2 is up to 拢100,000 to procure the necessary third-party expert services required to pursue the legal case.
