Airbus has received 拢1.4 million from the Regional Growth Fund for training to develop specialist engineering skills.

Details

Airbus, one of the world鈥檚 leading aircraft manufacturers, has received 拢1.4 million from the government鈥檚 Regional Growth Fund to help provide training to develop specialist engineering skills to develop Airbus鈥檚 aircraft programmes.

The training attracted over 拢5 million in private sector investment and will create 200 new jobs at Airbus鈥檚 wing development facilities in Filton Bristol. The funding will help ensure Filton continues as a global centre of excellence in wing and landing gear design, testing and research.
