This paper builds on evidence outlined in the 2014 paper 鈥楻educing mobile phone theft and improving security鈥�.

It provides a more contemporary picture of mobile phone theft following the introduction of 鈥榢ill switches鈥� and includes:

  • national data from the 2014 to 2015 Crime Survey for England and Wales about mobile phone ownership and theft
  • information about particular brands and handsets that were targeted during 2015
