Home Office Lords Minister Lord Taylor of Holbeach made a written ministerial statement on Tuesday 27聽 November 2012 announcing the publication of the fifth annual report by the National DNA Database ethics group.

The report covers the activities of the Group in the past year in considering ethical issues around the operation of the database and makes three recommendations on collecting management information that would demonstrate the effectiveness of the National DNA Database in solving crimes and also improving the transparency of the National DNA Database strategy board.
