This research uses 鈥楲ongitudinal education outcomes鈥 (LEO) data, which compares students鈥 level of education to their level of employment and earnings in later life. It includes information from:
- the Department for Education (DfE)
- the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
- Her Majesty鈥檚 Revenue and Customs (HMRC)
It looks at a group of people who took their GCSEs in 2004 to 2005. It describes their:
- educational achievement at GCSE
- educational achievement by ages 18, 23 and 25
- achievements in the labour market in the 2016 to 2017 tax year
We will continue to develop the data, so the methods and results are likely to change over time.
