Plug-in car grants: changes to grant level March 2016

Details

From March 1 2016, 2 grant rates will be available.

鈥楥ategory 1鈥� cars with a zero emission range of over 70 miles will receive a grant of 拢4,500.

鈥楥ategory 2 and 3鈥� cars with a shorter zero emission range, such as plug-in hybrid vehicles with a petrol or diesel engine, will receive 拢2,500.

This guidance gives details of the new rates and which vehicles will be in which category.
