1. Summary of the standard鈥檚 use for government
This standard allows you to describe job vacancies using HTML and provides a template for structured data including:
- salary
- location
- contracted hours
- other supporting information

2. How this standard meets user needs
Jobseekers need to find relevant, accurate job vacancies. If you use this standard, it鈥檚 easier for job aggregators and search engines to reuse your job vacancy data. It鈥檚 also easier for jobseekers to find vacancies relevant to them in non-government services.

If you want to reuse job vacancy data published using the JobPosting standard in your service, you should check the publishing organisation鈥檚 licence first. For example, Civil Service Jobs offers its data under an Open Government Licence.
