Explains the government鈥檚 responses to the Low Pay Commission (LPC) recommendations. The LPC has recommended that the hourly rates should increase in April 2017:
- from 拢7.20 to 拢7.50 for workers aged 25 and over (the National Living Wage)
- from 拢6.95 to 拢7.05 for workers aged 21 to 24
- from 拢5.55 to 拢5.60 for workers aged 18 to 20
- from 拢4.00 to 拢4.05 for workers aged under 18
- from 拢3.40 to 拢3.50 for apprentices
The government accepts these recommendations.
