This research proposes applying a multi-modal approach to rail appraisal for train models and stations, which was developed by the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS) at the University of Leeds.

The research comprises 2 parts:聽

  • the 鈥榤ulti-modal approach鈥� to user benefits in new mode contexts聽
  • a peer review of multi-modal appraisal methodology

It was commissioned聽by ITS and John Bates Services on behalf of the Department for Transport,聽as part of the聽Restoring Your Railway fund.
