The research looks into the life of a charity and the 鈥榤ilestones鈥� they encounter.

The report gathers information from charities on their milestone events and illustrates best practice and ways of dealing with them. The most common milestones are:

  • establishing themselves as a charity
  • employing staff for the first time
  • making changes to their governing document
  • winding up or changing direction
