Esther McVey left her role as Minister of State without Portfolio, the Cabinet Office in July 2024

Ms McVey sought the Committee鈥檚 advice about taking up a role with The Daily Express.聽 The containing the Committee鈥檚 consideration and the conditions imposed on the appointment was sent in September 2024; and the appointment was taken up later that month.

Esther McVey left her role as Minister of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government in February 2020, before rejoining government in November 2023. The Committee鈥檚 correspondence to Esther McVey in relation to previous appointments is below.
