鈥楳anual for streets 2 - wider application of the principles鈥 is a companion guide to 鈥Manual for streets鈥 and extends its practices beyond residential streets to encompass both urban and rural situations. It is intended to assist those in the planning, construction and improvement of our streets to deliver more contextually sensitive designs.

Manual for street 2 fills the gap in design advice that lies between 鈥楳anual for streets鈥 and the design standards for trunk roads as set out in the 鈥Design manual for roads and bridges鈥.
