Details

The main supply estimates (HC871) have been presented to the House of Commons today (15 May 2025). The government seeks parliamentary authority for central government departmental expenditure for 2025-26, and for the voted element of spending plans originally set out at the Autumn Budget 2024聽and updated at subsequent fiscal events.

Estimates are presented on a budgetary basis, the means by which the Treasury monitors and controls departmental spending. They include non-cash items, such as depreciation, which are excluded from the main spending totals used to present departments鈥� resource settlements.
