This JSP provides the policy, requirements and guidance for nuclear and radiological safety and environmental protection management of naval nuclear propulsion programme (NNPP) activities.

The JSP is divided into 2 volumes:

  • volume 1, consisting of Chapters 1, 2 and 3, states regulatory requirements
  • volume 2, consisting of Chapters 4 and 5, contains regulatory guidance
