An example of the route diagrams that driving examiners can use to help you understand where you鈥檙e going when following verbal directions.

Details

The independent driving part of the car driving test works differently, and you won鈥檛 be shown a diagram.

All other types of driving test will include around 10 minutes of independent driving. You鈥檒l have to drive independently by either following:

  • traffic signs
  • a series of directions
  • a combination of both

To help you understand where you鈥檙e going when following verbal directions, the examiner can show you a diagram. This is an example of the type of diagram they will use.
