Human Normal Immunoglobulins (HNIG) is not recommended for post-exposure protection since there is no evidence that it is effective. There is no mumps-specific immunoglobulin available. Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine is not effective when given for post-exposure prophylaxis.
