Details

This report produced by Grant Thornton for the Trade Remedies Authority aims to facilitate the Trade Remedies Authority鈥檚 (TRA) evaluation of its existing and future trade remedy measures. It does this by testing the suitability and the feasibility of the application of different methodologies that could be used to estimate the causal impacts of the UK鈥檚 trade remedy measures on trade and the UK economy, including performance of different affected industries. These methodologies are tested using four illustrative case studies.

The report with its four illustrative case studies is not intended to provide commentary or evaluate the causal impacts of any existing UK trade remedy measures. Instead, the report provides a methodology toolkit for policy makers to draw upon when undertaking their own evaluation together with a guiding framework for selecting the right tools for the right task.
