Details

The High-Speed Rail (Preparation) Act 2013 is an act of Parliament that allows the Secretary of State for Transport, with HM Treasury鈥檚 approval, to spend money in preparation for a high-speed rail network.

The act requires the Department for Transport to publish an annual expenditure report that is laid in Parliament. The purpose of the report is to inform Parliament and the public.

This report covers the reporting period from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022. Expenditure in the report is broken down by cost category.
