Government response on close consultation to Abergavenny Magistrates' Court and Caerphilly Magistrates' Court.

The department received 31 responses to this consultation.
As a result of this consultation, the Lord Chancellor, has decided that Abergavenny Magistrates鈥� Court and Caerphilly Magistrates鈥� Court should close.
The majority of the workload should then be moved to Newport Magistrates鈥� Court and Cwmbran Magistrates鈥� Court.
Following the response the local Judicial Business Group (JBG) is invited to consult on potential changes to Local Justice Area (LJA) boundaries.
