Details
These guiding principles explain the government鈥檚 approach to implementing EU measures. They aim to maximise the UK鈥檚 influence in Brussels and end the 鈥榞old-plating鈥 of EU legislation in the UK. Gold-plating refers to government adding burdens to EU laws which impose extra costs and restrictions on business.
See also the Transposition Guidance which explains how to implement European Directives into UK law effectively.
