Details

In 2010 the key stage 2 national curriculum science test taken by all pupils at age 11 was replaced by one taken by a sample of pupils. This study compares the performance of different groups of pupils in the 2010 and 2011 tests.

The different groups reported on are:

  • gender
  • ethnicity
  • English spoken as an additional language
  • eligibility for free school meals
  • special educational needs
