Following 迟丑别听Green Gas Support Scheme (GGSS) Annual Tariff Review (ATR) 2024, the Secretary of State has decided to increase GGSS tariffs. This includes Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 tariffs. The new tariff rates will come into effect on 1 October 2024.
Tariffs from 1 October 2024 will be:
- Tier 1: up to 60,000 MWh 鈥� 6.69p/kWh
- Tier 2: the next 40,000 MWh 鈥� 4.16p/kWh
- Tier 3: above 100,000 MWh up to 250,000聽MWh聽鈥� 3.88p/kWh
These tariffs will be applied to tariff guarantees (TGs) awarded to successful applicants whose聽TG聽applications are submitted from 1 October 2024 and before the next聽GGSS聽tariff change is in effect.
GGSS听迟补谤颈蹿蹿蝉 are reviewed while the scheme is open to applications through聽ATRs, published annually by 1 September. Tariffs can also be reduced if a degression is triggered by a quarterly聽Expenditure Forecast Statement. More information is available on聽迟丑别听GGSS聽Budget Management guidance page.
Tariffs will be uprated for inflation on 1 April 2025, using the percentage increase or decrease in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the 2024 calendar year.
