Details

The Foreign Affairs Committee (FAC) launched an inquiry into the FCO鈥檚 consular services in December 2013. This FCO command paper sets out the specific commitments the FCO has made to address the Committee鈥檚 recommendations of 23 November 2014. The Committee recognised the high level of service the FCO鈥檚 consular staff provide to thousands of British nationals every year. The Committee also commended the FCO鈥檚 consular services in many areas, including the support provided in cases of kidnap, death penalty and forced marriage, and innovations in service delivery.
