This document sets out the government鈥檚 response to the Climate Change Committee鈥檚 (CCC鈥檚) report on and its recommendations on adaptation.

The government鈥檚 response sets out:

  • areas where significant progress has been made to adapt to climate risks over the last two years, by sector
  • detailed responses to each of the CCC鈥檚 51 recommendations, by department
  • acceptance of the CCC鈥檚 central message that the government must take greater action to build resilience to the impacts of climate change

This response should be read alongside the Net Zero Strategy, which includes the government response to the CCC on reducing emissions.
