Use this sample letter to get proof a partner promised in court not to harass or threaten you, if you're applying for legal aid.

To get a written copy of the promise, known as the 鈥榰ndertaking鈥�:
- fill in the sample letter as best you can
- send it to the court where the promise was made
A copy costs 拢5, but you may be able to get help with the fee.
You can use the promise as evidence if you鈥檙e applying for legal aid to divorce or separate from an abusive partner.
