Details
This document sets out those situations (other than those prescribed in the primary legislation) where the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government鈥檚 consent is not needed for local authorities to provide financial support for privately let housing accommodation.
The 2014 consent introduces a new 鈥済eneral consent AA鈥 and amends general consent B. Sections A, C and D of the general consent section 25 of the Local Government Act 1988 2010 remain in place and unchanged. Please read both documents in conjunction with the other.
Note: These consents issued in December 2010 were updated in July 2011 to take account of changes to legislation given effect by the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 (Registration of Local Authorities) Order 2010. The only changes are new paragraphs B2(g) and D6(e).
They were further amended in January 2012 when paragraphs A2(d)(i) and B2(e)(i) were slightly modified to be less restrictive.
