How we will guarantee payments for outstanding local government pension scheme (LGPS) liabilities when a further education (FE) body closes.

Details
The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) closed on 31 March 2025. All activity has moved to the Department for Education (DfE).
This guarantee applies to:
- FE corporations
- sixth-form college corporations
- Designated Institutions that are bodies set up under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 and are legally obliged to offer their non-teaching employees membership of the LGPS
