Use this form to appeal a local authority鈥檚 decision not to secure an EHC needs assessment of a child or young person. This form can be used by parents or those with parental responsibility, or by a young person aged 16 to 24.

You can appeal a decision as a:

  • parent, someone with parental responsibility, or someone who cares for a child
  • young person aged 16 to 24 (or an advocate or 鈥榓lternative person鈥� acting on their behalf)
