This request asked for information on the amount spent on hysteroscopic sterilisation using the Essure device between 2009-2016. The request also asked for the amount of women who underwent the hysteroscopic sterilisation procedure using the Essure device between 2009-2016.

NHS Improvement did not hold this information. NHS Improvement referred the requester to the Department of Health reference costs publications for further assistance and to the 鈥楥ode to Group鈥� workbook for the HRG mapping of the hysteroscopic sterilisation procedure.
