You have the right to live without fear and oppression, live in a safe home, financial security, to choose your own spouse and relationships, to explore your sexuality, to have children if, and when, you want, to get a divorce, move and travel freely, choose your education and employment, to go out, to talk to your friends on the phone and wear what you like.
Nobody has the right to threaten, frighten or hurt you, to force you to marry against your wishes, to force you to have children, to force you into sex or prostitution, to cut your body or to imprison you.
IKWRO鈥檚 mission is to protect Middle Eastern women and girls at risk of domestic violence, forced marriage, female genital mutilation and 鈥榟onour鈥�-based violence. Our aim is to support women in upholding their rights to live without fear or oppression.

The Iranian and Kurdish Women鈥檚 Rights Organisation is a registered charity established in 2002. We provide confidential support, advice and advocacy and outreach to women, girls and couples of Middle Eastern origin, in particular Farsi, Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish and Dari speaking women and girls who are facing domestic violence, forced marriage, female genital mutilation and 鈥榟onour鈥� killings.
IKWRO strives to empower women through training, raising awareness of human rights, campaigning to defend women鈥檚 rights, influencing policy makers and educating the general public and providing advocacy services.
