In line with our commitment to transparency, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) publishes an inventory of its paper archive records.

This inventory supersedes previously published versions of the FCDO archive inventory, and the archive inventory of the former Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

The FCDO inventory covers:

  • all paper archive records managed centrally by the FCDO鈥檚 Archive Services teams and held in central departmental or commercial archive repositories
  • paper archive records created before 2005 and held outside of the FCDO鈥檚 central archive repositories in FCDO UK departments

The FCDO archive inventory currently excludes paper archive records held by overseas posts. This will be added in due course once we complete a review.
