AI聽is at the forefront of the UK鈥檚 priorities. Critical to seizing the opportunity that it presents will be developing the nation鈥檚聽AI聽capabilities, promoting its widespread use, and driving a UK聽AI聽sector that can compete on the global stage.
The AI聽Opportunities Action Plan outlines 50 recommendations to strengthen the UK鈥檚 AI ecosystem by securing the necessary compute infrastructure, data and talent. The government response to the action plan聽 commits to taking forward all 50 recommendations.
A key recommendation of the聽AI聽Opportunities Action Plan is to scale up the UK鈥檚聽AI聽Research Resource capacity twenty-fold by 2030, ensuring that researchers and startups can access the infrastructure needed to drive new breakthroughs.
