This report combines two research products: qualitative research with Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and electoral administrators conducted between December 2021 and February 2022, and a survey of electoral administrators conducted between June 2023 and July 2023, to provide an overview of changes in their satisfaction compared to the pre-reform canvass.
This research contributes to the evaluation of the Modern Electoral Registration Programme which aims to create a more efficient registration system, make the process simple and clear for citizens, and give EROs more discretion, whilst maintaining completeness and accuracy of the registers.
