On 6 April 2015 the previous Government implemented the Gaming Machine (Circumstances of Use)(Amendment) regulations 2015. The policy objective of these regulations is to assist people who use sub-Category B2 gaming machines (commonly known as FOBTs) to stay in control of their gambling behaviour by requiring that those accessing higher stakes (over 拢50) load cash via staff interaction or use account based play.
