This document provides the background methodology on the estimated impact on apprenticeships achievement volumes by region, following the change in English and maths policy effective from 11 February 2025.
It sets out how indicative apprenticeships qualification achievement rates (QARs) data for learners aged 19 and over who studied English or Maths alongside their apprenticeship is used to estimate additional achievements.
