Updated 7 March 2024
Applies to England
1. Information:聽academy allocation statements for academic year 2024 to 2025
The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) has started to issue pre-16 and 16 to 19 allocation statements for academies and academy sixth forms. We are on track to issue all statements for those academies open prior to February 2024, by the end of March 2024.
Allocation statements for academies opening between February 2024 and March 2024 will be issued by the end of April 2024.
Once your allocation statement is available, you will receive a notification and can find it on聽聽in the 鈥榙ocuments received from ESFA鈥 section. Your allocation statement includes a breakdown of our calculation.
We have published the聽academy general annual grant allocation guidance听补苍诲听16 to 19 allocation guidance聽to help you understand your statement.
1.1 Multi-academy trusts (MATs)
Each academy鈥檚 allocation is uploaded as soon as it is finalised, following confirmation of the relevant local authority鈥檚 funding formula. Statements are uploaded in batches and it鈥檚 unlikely that MATs will receive all allocation statements for their academies at the same time. MATs will be able to view their academies鈥 allocations using their trust log in details, not the academy log in details.

ESFA will be hosting a question and answer dial in session on Thursday 14 March 2024 at 11am to 11:30am, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the academies chart of accounts and automation (ACoA).

To do this, we continually conduct research with headteachers, school business professionals, IT professionals, school estate managers and others working in schools and trusts. We need the views of people from all areas, and with all levels of responsibility.
Our research includes short surveys, face-to-face or remote interviews, testing new online services, and focus groups and workshops.
