Energy Market Investigation (Electricity Transmission Losses) Order 2016
This order provides measures to ensure that charging for transmission losses takes account of generators鈥� locations.

This order was made under the market investigation provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002.
The order requires the transmission company:

to ensure at all times that the costs of transmission losses are recovered from users of the transmission system in a manner which takes account of each user鈥檚 power flow and their location on the transmission system

to determine charges following the rules set out in the balancing and settlement code and the order
