This report reviews the link between work with hand-held vibratory tools and a disorder of the hand called Dupuytren鈥檚 contracture. It sets out the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council鈥檚 (IIAC鈥檚) reasons and recommends that Dupuytren鈥檚 contracture be added to the list of prescribed diseases for which Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB) is payable.
