The document includes:

  • standardised terminology to be used
  • the acceptable boundaries for the interpretation of complex DNA mixture profiles
  • the interpretation of a variable number of contributors to a DNA mixture profile
  • the use and limitations of a qualitative opinion where no quantitative measure can be calculated
  • guidance for the interpretation content for reports and statements
