Details

We set site limits on the discharge of radioactive waste to:

  • ensure that the radiation exposure of members of the public is less than the statutory dose limits and constraints and is as low as reasonably achievable
  • ensure the environment is protected *provide a reference for the indication of operational discharge performance and the application of the best available techniques to minimise discharges
