Human Tissue Authority - members聽

Helen Froud, Reverend Prebendary Professor Gina Radford, Steve Stanbury and Canon David Stanton have been appointed as members of the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) for 3 years from 21 April 2025.

In addition, Dr Andy Greenfield and David Lewis have been reappointed as members of HTA for 3 years from 1 April 2025.聽

The appointments are remunerated at a rate of 拢7,883 per year for a time commitment of 2 to 3 days per month.

Canon David Stanton will take on the role of chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC) from 1 September 2025, at which point his role will be remunerated at a rate of 拢13,137 a year.

These appointments are made in accordance with the Cabinet Office Code of Governance for Public Appointments. The regulation of public appointments against the requirements of this code is carried out by the Commissioner for Public Appointments.聽

The appointments are made on merit and political activity played no part in the decision process. However, in accordance with the code, there is a requirement for appointees鈥� political activity (if any declared) to be made public. None has declared any political activity.

NHS Counter Fraud Authority - chair and Audit and Risk Assurance Committee chair

Dame Linda Pollard has been appointed as chair of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) for 3 years from 1 July 2025.聽The appointment will involve a time commitment of 2 to 3 days per month. Remuneration for the role will be at a rate of 拢14,450 per year.聽

Current non-executive director, Jon Hayes, has been appointed as chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC) from 31 October 2025 until the end of his term on 31 January 2028. The appointment will continue to involve a time commitment of 2 to 3 days per month. Remuneration for the role will be at a rate of 拢13,137 per year.
